Ulster Hospital Travel Plan Anniversary Event

The Trust recently celebrated the first anniversary of the Ulster Hospital Travel Plan which aims to promote transport alternatives available to staff on the Ulster Hospital site.

Many exhibitors attended to provide information and advice to staff and we would like to thank PSNI, NHS Fleet Solutions, Halfords, Translink, Sustrans, Charles Hurst Group, Ards & North Down Council, Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council , Chest, Heart & Stroke, Staff Services NI, NI Civil Service Activ and everyone who made the day a success. A special mention of thanks to all the local businesses who supplied an abundance of fantastic prizes for the raffle we held on the day.

The Trust continues to encourage staff to seek alternatives to help reduce demand for car parking spaces on site. Various initiatives have been put in place over the last twelve months by the Trust’s Travel Team which include reintroduction of the Cycle to Work Scheme, installation of cycle shelters, Car Share Scheme, Free Staff Shuttle bus from Dunlady Park & Ride and the installation of Electric Car Charging points.
A loyalty card for the Dunlady Park & Ride service is now available and these can be obtained either on the staff shuttle bus, or by contacting the Travel Team at the email address below.

For further information on the Travel Plan and the initiatives mentioned above, please contact the Travel Team on travel.team@setrust.hscni.net
