Junction Closure - Ulster Hospital Main Entrance 25-27 July 2018

11/07/2018

Please note that the junction at the main entrance to the Ulster Hospital adjacent to McDonalds will be closed between the hours of 7.30 pm and 6.00 am from Wed 25 July 2018 to Fri 27 July 2018 to facilitate resurfacing of the road as part of the infrastructure improvement work which has been ongoing for a number of weeks on the main Upper Newtownards Road.

Traffic diversions will be in place from the junction at the Upper Newtownards Road and Comber Road diverting traffic coming from Belfast onto the Comber Road A22 and onto the Grahamsbridge Road/Church Road/Robbs Road back on to the Upper N’Ards Road at the Dunlady Road junction. This will operate in reverse for traffic coming from the N’Ards and Bangor areas.  This route will avoid the main entrance to the hospital.  Diversion points at the Comber Road and the Ballyregan Road will be manned by the contractor to provide assistance to the public/staff as required.

Access and exiting from the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald for all vehicles including the emergency services will be either via the service entrance opposite former Elk Inn or via Ballyregan Road/Stoney Road through the rear entrance to the hospital.  Pedestrians should be aware of emergency services accessing these alternative routes and take care especially on the Stoney Road.  These routes are shown on the map by clicking here.

Signage will be provided on the Ulster Hospital site to help guide staff and visitors.  Please allow extra time for your journey to the hospital.
