Trust Staff Recognised in Queen's Honours


Congratulations to Margaret Moorehead, Assistant Director Allied Health Professions, Liz Brown, Paediatric Nurse and Ann Scott, Former Nurse Manager Mental Health in being awarded MBE's in the recent Queen's Birthday Honours.

Ann Scott from Carrickfergus, the first ever nurse consultant in Mental Health in Northern Ireland, has been honoured for her work with older people in both research and practice.

Liz Browne, from Bangor, who trained in the Ulster Hospital and has worked for her entire career in the South Eastern HSC Trust, has been honoured for her work in children’s nursing, and for volunteering in the local community.

Margaret Moorehead from Bangor, who first qualified as a Podiatrist in 1983 has led AHP services through major service reform and continuous improvement has been honoured for her work in healthcare.

They will all attend an Investiture at Buckingham Palace later this year.

The Trust would like to congratulate them. “We are extremely proud of our dedicated staff and we are delighted that Ann, Liz and Margaret have been recognised for their outstanding service”.
