SureStart Ards Celebrates 'The Rhyme Challenge'

22/06/2016

Children and parents from SureStart’s Rhythm Rhyme & Story Time group took part in this year’s Rhyme Challenge.

The Rhyme Challenge, developed by Bookstart, is a great way to support children and families to enjoy learning rhymes together and help children develop early language skills.

The celebration event was held on 20th June in Ards where both parents and children enjoyed singing and doing actions to ten much loved rhymes, such as Little Bo Peep and Five Currant Buns.
To celebrate their achievement each child was presented with a Rhyme Challenge award certificate.

Rhythm Rhyme and Story Time runs every Monday at Ards Community Network from September until end of June for all families within the SureStart catchment area, who have children under four years old.
