Medical Registrar-Ready Course

The medical registrar’s role is key to maintaining patient safety out of hours but registrars can find patient placement, patient flow, coordination and leadership of the hospital highly stressful and difficult. NIMDTA and the School of Medicine, in conjunction with staff from the SE Trust, piloted an innovative Medical Registrar-Ready course on 24th June in the Ulster Hospital involving simulation sessions and workshops from patient flow, hospital at night, infection control and ED.

Feedback has been very positive and it is hoped the development of this course will help provide support for this vital role and improve working relationships.
