Comber Rec Football Club donates to the Stroke Unit at the Ulster Hospital

The Stroke Unit at the Ulster Hospital recently received a very generous donation of £1,700 from Comber Rec Football Club.

Bobby McGorman and Sammy Gibson were patients in Ward 3C and donated the money in recognition of the treatment they received at the Unit.

Bobby McGorman said, “ I was very well treated by all the staff in the Ulster Hospital and the new ward block was magnificent. Thank you to Portaferry Vets for their help and continued friendship.”

Comber Rec Football Club raised the money for the Stroke Unit by playing a charity match against Portaferry in September and through Cabaret with music from Wee Alan.

The Stroke Unit staff are very grateful for the kind donation and would like to thank everyone involved for their fundraising efforts.
