Patient raising funds for Urology Service for 80th Birthday

A patient of 10 years from the Urology service is planning a sky dive for her 80th Birthday to raise funds for the service.

June Kirk has raised £28,000 over 8 years with the help of family and friends by knitting thousands of Easter chicks with bonnets that contain a chocolate surprise.

June has been raising money for the Urology Department at the Ulster Hospital after getting her kidney removed in 2009. Fortunately June has recovered well and now receives annual check ups. She is thrilled to have been given a clean bill of health and plans to undertake a charity parachute jump and hopes to raise a further £2,000. The charity jump will take place on 27 April 2019.
