Lagan Valley Hospital The Coronary Care Unit is an 8-bedded unit consisting of 6 coronary care and 2 high dependency beds and is located on the 3rd floor of the main hospital block. Patients are admitted to the Coronary Care unit following a coronary thrombosis or cardiac event. A multidisciplinary team of other health professionals within the hospital supports them. Cardiac outpatient investigations such as electrocardiographs, treadmill stress testing, echocardiographs, cardiac cardioversions and day monitoring are also carried out in both the ECG department and the Coronary Care Unit.
