This provides you with basic information about all the services available to children living in the Down Lisburn Trust area.

Each individual service has more detailed information leaflets which can be made available to you on request. Individual service contact numbers are provided.

Some of these services are used by every child and others will only be used by children and young people who have particular needs and who require a specialist service.

We include information on services you can contact directly on behalf of your child, and services you will need a professional to arrange for your child.

If you are referred to Children's Services, the referral will be acknowledged within 5 working days of receipt.

We will give you clear, easy to understand information about our services. This information will be provided in the way that best meets you needs.

We will inform you of all the choices and options available to you regarding the services we offer.

We need your views to improve the service we offer you. We will consult with you regularly and ask for your views about the service we provide.

Where possible your wishes and preferences will be taken into account when planning your service. If we are unable to meet your wishes we will explain why.

Staff in Children's Services will always treat you fairly. They will be courteous and respectful.

If you contact us by phone we aim to answer within 5 rings. If we are unavailable you may leave a message and we will get back to you.

Wherever possible we will offer you an appointment at a time that suits you. You will be seen within 30 minutes of that appointment time. if for any reason we need to change your appointment we will give you as much notice as possible.

We welcome your comments, compliments and complaints. Complaints will be dealt with promptly and fairly. Details of Down Lisburn Trust's Complaints Procedure are available from any Trust facility, or ask any member of staff.
