Resource Description: Ardview House is situated in the picturesque village of Ardglass. Ardview is well known to the local villagers who keep regular contact with the residents by visiting them and also inviting them to functions in the village

Ardview House has an occupancy of forty beds within two separate units. One unit provides care for people who are physically frail; the other provides a secure environment for people with dementia.

The staff within Ardview House work closely with other professionals eg GPs and District Nurses as well as Care Managers to ensure all aspects of care are suited to the needs of the individual and their carers.

Drumlough House

Resource Description: Drumlough House is a purpose built resource centre divided into two facilities. One facility provides care for elderly people who are physically frail; the other is a specialist facility for people who have dementia.

Drumlough House is situated on the main Moira Road just outside Lisburn town. It is within walking distance of local facilities and is on a direct route for public transport.

The facility is very attractive in appearance, with numerous sitting areas and individual bedrooms, however visitors to the resource centre make comment that it is the relaxed atmosphere and friendly welcome by all staff which make it enjoyable to visit and ultimately for residents to live.

Our overall aim is to encourage resident and family involvement, by providing staff with information to identify individual needs and preferences. This ensures the care provided is individually tailored to the person who is receiving our care. Residents and family members are encouraged to make comments on our service by attending Residents Meetings or Friends of Drumlough meetings, or indeed to make comments directly to the Manager.

Grove House

Resource Description: Grove House is situated on the outskirts of Ballynahinch a busy market town. It is within easy reach of the town centre and all local amenities.

Grove House is a single storey building, set in its own grounds with picturesque mature gardens. The centre provides care for older people who are physically frail.

Grove House provides a homely environment to thirty four residents who enjoy the comfort of single bedrooms. It also provides respite, short-term care and day care. There is a separate day centre attached to the facility with motivated day care staff who organise a programme of activities and outings for their clients.

Staff within the facility value the right of each resident, to be treated with dignity, respect and understanding.

Laurelhill House

Resource Description: Laurelhill House provides specialist care for people who are suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and other neurological conditions, which cause a decline in the person's ability to care for themselves.

Laurelhill House is situated on the outskirts of Lisburn, within easy reach of the town centre and other access routes.

The centre comprises a day care facility and a residential unit. The residential unit which is divided into two sub-units, provides a comfortable, friendly and homely environment for 30 residents. All residents have their own rooms. There is a landscaped area within the centre of the unit to allow freedom of movement and the enjoyment of nature for the residents and their families.

The staff within Laurelhill House value the right of each resident, to be treated with dignity, respect and understanding. To be offered choice and to be given the opportunity to develop their full potential in an atmosphere designed to meet their individual needs.

Seymour House

Resource Description: The resource centre is located outside Dunmurry just off the main road to Lisburn. It is close to all amenities, shops, post office etc and is on a direct route for public transport – bus or train to Belfast.

Seymour House provides residential, respite and day care for elderly people, who are physically frail or people with dementia.

On the Ground Floor
The Pinewood Suite – an 8 bedded suite for people with dementia.
The Willow Suite – for day care.

On the First and Second Floors
The Rowan Suite and the Cedar Suite provide a 36 bedded unit for physically frail people.

It also provides Domiciliary Services for elderly people who wish to remain in their own homes.

Our overall aim is the provision of individual Care Services to meet the needs and preferences of each individual in a warm and friendly environment.

To ensure that a quality service is available:

• A passenger lift for easy access to Rowan and Cedar suites. All amenities are designed for people with disabilities, for example, ramps, handrails, sensory operated entrance doors etc.

• A Residents kitchen to enable clients to be as independent as possible.

• Residents Committee Group who enable client involvement in the life of the unit.

St John's House

Resource Description: St John's House is built of the site on an old priory, which is how it came to get its name. St John's House is situated directly beside the Downe Hospital in Downpatrick.

St John's House provides care for thirty four elderly people within two units. It is a two storey purpose built facility with a lift. The upstairs unit provides care to elderly people who are physically frail, downstairs provides a secure unit for people with dementia.

St John's House is situated close to all local amenities in Downpatrick. As it is located beside the Downe Hospital and Pound Lane Clinic, staff in the facility have a close relationship with Consultants, GPs, District Nurses and Care Managers ensuring all the needs of each individual resident is met. As well as providing long term care, St John's House provides a number of convalescent beds and 'hospital at home' beds for elderly people to enjoy rehabilitation in an environment surrounded by staff providing care to enable them to reach their full potential before returning home.
