World Mental Health Day

HELP CELEBRATE WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

Thursday 10th October 2019

Theme: Suicide Prevention

World Mental Health Day is celebrated around the world on 10th October. It is an opportunity to raise awareness of good mental health and highlight how people can make small changes to their daily routine to promote their mental wellbeing.

This year the World Health Organisation has chosen the theme of suicide prevention. Evidence suggests that social support and connections are key protective factors in preventing suicide. Positive and supportive social relationships and community connections can help.

‘Connect’ is one of the Take 5 steps to wellbeing. We would like to invite you to join us on the 10th October (or around) in organising a ‘Coffee and Connect’ event within your organisation or community.

How can we help you?

Let us help to promote your event by including it in a calendar of events. Please forward details of any planned events before 20th September to ensure inclusion in the calendar.
