19 January 2010 ULSTER HOSPITAL MAIN ENTRANCE IMPROVEMENTS The South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust has developed plans to make the Ulster Hospital more accessible for patients, staff and visitors. This will involve the refurbishment of the main front entrance. As part of the ongoing major construction programme at the Ulster Hospital, work will take place from January to August 2010 to upgrade and refurbish the existing main entrance of the hospital. This refurbishment scheme will provide essential improvements for patients and their families, which will include improved disability access, signage to all departments, reception, enhanced waiting facilities and services. Every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum for patients, relatives and staff while these much needed improvements are made to the building. The Trust wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this refurbishment work and the cooperation of the public and staff during this time will be greatly appreciated. Access to the hospital via the front entrance will be maintained at all times. For further information please contact: Communications Office (028) 9055 3152/(028) 9056 4866 |
