Location of Temporary South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust Headquarters

Thompson House Hospital

From 1 April 2007, the new South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust Headquarters will be located on the top floor of Thompson House Hospital, Lisburn, on a temporary basis.

A range of options including commercial and current health care facilities across Down Lisburn Trust and the Ulster Community and Hospitals Trust were assessed on the basis of cost, value for money, ability to meet timescales and impact on staff. Unfortunately the preferred option was not deliverable by 1 April. Thompson House Hospital was deemed to be the only practical alternative within the timescale.

The Headquarters at Thompson House will form part of a networked Headquarters with the Senior Management Team also making use of current facilities in Downpatrick and Regent Street, Newtownards. The Trust will shortly commence a Business Case to identify a permanent base.

I wish to stress that this is a temporary provision and that every effort will be made to minimise disruption to staff.
