Exhibition of Artwork from Derriaghy Day Care Centre at Island Arts Centre, Lisburn

An exhibition of artwork from Derriaghy Day Care Centre, one of the South Eastern Trust’s Mental Health Services facilities, has just opened at the Walkway Gallery, Island Arts Centre, Lisburn on Monday, December 3, 2007. It will run until Tuesday, January 15, 2008.

The exhibition explores memory and important moments in time through the media of paint and print. Exhibition organiser Joanne McGoldrick says, “The artists have placed much emphasis on the fun of the creative process and the confidence gained through learning new skills and working together.”

The images give an idea of the variety of media and styles that artists have used.
