New Downe Hospital
The new Downe Hospital will be an enhanced local hospital with the following services:
- 24-hour consultant-led A&E Department
- A&E Short-stay unit (10 beds)
- Inpatients services in:
- General Medicine (40 beds)
- Coronary Care (9 beds)
- Care of the Elderly (20 beds)
- Acute Psychiatry (25 beds)
- Elderly Psychiatry (20 beds)
- Day Procedures Unit (16 beds and 8 recliners)
- Paediatric Day Unit (8 beds)
- Obstetric Day Unit (4 beds)
- Comprehensive Diagnostics Services, including CT scanning
- Outpatients
- Rehabilitation
