Stress Control

‘Stress Control’ is a six session class provided free of charge by the Trust and delivered by experienced qualified cognitive-behavioural psychotherapists.

Sessions were held in the North Down and Ards areas earlier this year and they proved to be extremely successful.

The sessions run over a six week period and are for people who want to learn some great ways to control common problems such as anxiety, depression, panic, poor sleep, burnout, loss of confidence or low self-esteem (in other words, ‘stress’). They will teach people to ‘become their own therapist’ so they are encouraged to work hard at practising the skills they learn in each session. Each session builds together like pieces of a jigsaw to enable people to deal with their individual difficulties. Booklets, relaxation CDs and general information leaflets will be provided.
