Structure of the Health Service

Structure of the Health Service

The South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust was established on 1st April 2007 as a result of the Review of Public Administration. The restructure took the previous 17 Trusts and created 5 new Health & Social Services Trusts. This Trust incorporates a mix of acute hospital services and community health and social services across its main sites of Ards Community Hospital, Bangor Community Hospital, Downe Hospital, Lagan Valley Hospital and the Ulster Hospital aswell as across the Down, Newtownards and Lisburn areas.
